Edge and Di- chroic Filters are commonly used in Fluorescence instrumentation, Heat Rejection Applications, and as Color Filters. While somewhat angle sensitive, they are more forgiving than bandpass interference filters.

◇Sapphire parts include Sapphire Ball Lens, Sapphire Washers, Sapphire Tube, Sapphire Ring Lens, Sapphire Rod Lens... They are manufactured from single crystal sapphire, making them ideal for demanding applications (such as laser systems) because of their extreme surface hardness, high thermal conductivity, high dielectric constant and resistance to common chemical acids and alkalis.

Achromatic Lens are ideal for applications requiring color correction, while Aspheric Lens are designed to correct spherical aberration. Germanium Lens, Silicon Lens, or ZnSe lens are ideal for transmitting the Infrared (IR) spectrum, while Fused Silica Lens is well suited for the Ultraviolet (UV).
